A little champagne, a little sunset, and a whole lot of sparkle!
This spectacular vintage five-strand necklace is a celebration of color, light, and mid-century glamour. Hundreds of individually faceted glass beads shimmer in warm shades of amber, cognac, peach, and champagne, while an extraordinary Aurora Borealis finish creates flashes of electric blue, emerald green, violet, and fuchsia with every movement.
What makes this necklace especially captivating is the unusual shape of its beads. Rather than traditional round crystals, these flattened, softly squared glass beads feature multiple facets that catch and refract light from every angle. The result is an almost kaleidoscopic effect, with the necklace appearing to change color as it moves.
Five graduated strands create a beautifully layered, cascading silhouette, offering the richness and drama of a statement necklace while retaining the delicacy and sparkle of individually strung glass beads.
Believed to date from the mid-20th century, approximately the 1950s–1970s, the necklace evokes the glamorous costume jewelry traditions of the era. The faceted glass and iridescent finish are reminiscent of Czech and Central European glassmaking, although the precise origin and maker remain unidentified.
Unsigned.
A fabulous finishing touch for an evening ensemble, equally delightful worn with a crisp white shirt or simple black dress. Because sometimes more really is more!
