A striking vintage porcelain table lamp in the chinoiserie style, featuring hand-painted floral designs and a charming bird motif in rich iron red with delicate gilded accents. The rectangular bottle-form porcelain base sits on a black lacquered wood pedestal and is topped with brass fittings and a turned wood finial, all contributing to its classic mid-century elegance.
The lamp’s intricate decoration and color palette are reminiscent of Japanese Kutani or Imari ware, often imported and assembled into designer lighting during the 1960s–1970s. While unmarked, the quality of materials and craftsmanship suggest this was made for the upscale American décor market during the peak of the Hollywood Regency and Asian revival era.
This lamp is a perfect statement piece for traditional, eclectic, or vintage-inspired interiors.
