About the artist: Amanda Andersen has been working for over 10 years as a professional artist; working mostly in acrylic paint on canvas. Her work balances minimal compositions with bold, high-contrast patterns and vibrant colors, navigating a space between the abstract and figurative. Inspired by the rigid lines of Agnes Martin and organic forms of Eva Hesse, she also adores fantasy films, surrealism, brutalist architecture and a really smooth gradient. Her work has shown internationally, including: the Kunstraum Kreuzberg in Berlin, Tiny Creatures in Los Angeles, the National Centre for Contemporary Arts State Museum in St Petersburg. See less
