It has the original metal locking mechanism, a metal handle on each side, 2 hinges in the back and also an inner metal hinge mechanism. All are in working condition. I took pictures of them in different positions to show they move well. The interior of the chest and the dome lid is lined with a dark reddish brown or maroon color felt material. The chest is hand painted with a fruit design, a distressed black background and gold toned accents. The chest is solid, sturdy and beautiful! See less
