Two heavy clear columns, each holding an internal texture formed while the glass was worked — held inside the mass rather than cut into the surface, so the pattern shifts as you move around the piece. Transparent enough to read light through and dense enough to hold it.

The Muurla glassworks opened in the spring of 1974 on a main road in south-west Finland, built as a roadside stop with a cafe where travellers could watch the glass being made. The company still trades today as a design house — this pair is early factory production, not current stock.

Unsigned. Sold as Muurla glass without attribution to a designer. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
