Add unparalleled Old World elegance to your vanity, dressing table, or heirloom display with this magnificent vintage Louis XV style ormolu and beveled glass jewelry casket box.
Brimming with romantic French grandiosity, this heavy vanity box features four exceptionally cast gilt brass (ormolu) Cupid cherubs standing at each corner, intricately sculpted holding their bows. The box features thick, high-clarity crystal-clear beveled glass panels on all four sides and the lid, capturing and refracting the light beautifully. The top lid frame is adorned with high-relief asymmetrical Rococo scrollwork, and the entire structure rests securely upon four ornate acanthus leaf feet.

CONDITION REPORT:
Pristine, premium vintage condition. The thick beveled glass panels are pretty much without no chips, flea bites, cracks, or clouding. There is only a very tiny chip on the corner of the glass lid as pointed out in one picture, but it is covered by the bronze edge. The hinges function smoothly, and the lid rests squarely on the frame matrix.
The gilt on the bronze has been rubbed thin here and there, normal for an old piece.
