Exceptional large Italian table lamp by Barovier & Toso, dating to the 1970s. The lamp features a solid brass base and upright supporting a dramatic bell-shaped Murano glass shade in clear glass with an intricate black, gold, and beige geometric decoration.
The handblown glass shade creates a remarkable interplay of transparency, color, and illumination. Its layered, ribbon-like geometric motif becomes especially vibrant when lit, while a dark ring-form finial crowns the shade and completes the lamp’s sculptural silhouette.
This distinctive piece brings refined Venetian glass artistry and 1970s Italian modern design to a console, credenza, sideboard, large bedside table, or living-room accent table.
