Fothergill (fl.1875–1925).Fothergill is known to have exhibited three watercolours at the Society of British Artists between 1880 and 1884, including The Mouth of the Dart and Hulks in Portsmouth Harbour. He exhibited a painting at the Royal Academy in 1900. He had addresses in London and Cranbrook, Kent.In watercolour with graphite underdrawing. On buff-coloured paper.All artworks come with a Certificate of Authenticity and in some cases an accompanying text or artist biography. Signed: Inscribed with artist's name verso. Height: 13.2cm (5.2″) Width: 18.5cm (7.3″) Condition: Some age toning to the paper, predominantly visible on the verso. There are small pieces of hinging tape to the upper edge on the verso.
