The body of … Read more Murano glass amphora vase, designed and conceived by the renowned sculptor and master glassmaker Napoleone Martinuzzi (1892–1977).
The body of the vase is entirely crafted from intense cobalt blue pulegoso glass with a rich, sculptural, semi-opaque texture.
The sides are decorated with an elaborate motif of overlapping curled handles (five per side). Both the handles and the lid knob are embellished with a refined gold finish, achieved by applying hot gold leaf. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
