There are two chairs. 500 for one or 900 for both
Beautifully preserved late-19th-century Victorian Eastlake platform rocker, dating between 1875 and 1895. This striking piece features a solid walnut frame showcase-carved with classic Eastlake geometric incised lines, floral details on the crest, and reeded accents.Unlike traditional rockers, this is a platform (spring) rocker. It glides seamlessly back and forth on original heavy-duty coil springs fixed to a stationary base, meaning it won't creep across your floor or damage your rugs. It also retains its vintage charm with its period-accurate, plush gold/mustard velvet upholstery finished with classic gimp trim.
Condition:The woodwork is structurally solid with beautiful natural grain. The rocking mechanism is smooth, quiet, and operates perfectly. The velvet upholstery is clean and in great shape with only minor, honest vintage wear consistent with age. A perfect statement piece for a living room, reading nook, or historical home.
