marianne starck (1938–2007) was one of denmark's foremost ceramic designers and served as artistic director of michael andersen & søn from 1955 for more than three decades. She introduced a distinctly modern aesthetic to the bornholm manufacturer through her elegant forms and sophisticated glaze techniques. Her designs are celebrated for balancing functional simplicity with painterly decoration, making her one of the defining figures of postwar danish ceramics.
