It is enclosed in an ornate gilded gold sqaure frame of 21.5" by 21.5" square and 1" deep. This is generally called "Folk Art". These are very popular and have been since as long as I can remember. This one was placed professionally and framed by an art dealer in Lewiston, Idaho and I purchased it from a dealer in Treasure Valley. See less
