A set of six "Superleggera" chairs designed by Gio Ponti for Cassina, dating back to the early 1960s.
The chairs have a black-stained beechwood frame with a padded seat upholstered in red fabric.
The Leggera chair is one of the most famous icons of Italian design. Gio Ponti began working on this project in the late 1940s, inspired by the traditional handcrafted Chiavari chairs, the Chiavarine. The goal was to create a minimalist chair.
