Antique Ottoman Palaska Cartridge Box for your consideration. The box measures approx. 5 1/4 inches tall, 4 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches deep. Ottoman Empire, late19th Century. Brass, Arabesque relief designs of nike, phoenix and lion motifs. Designed to hold powder or ammunition. Typically worn on belt. Handwritten, "#2189" on back. Very good antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. Natural aged patina. See photos. Displays impressive!
