Iconic Mid-Century Modern lounge chair and matching ottoman designed by Lawrence Peabody for Selig (Holiday series / Model 580 family). Classic sculptural form with button-tufted backrest, gently curved arms, and elegant tapered walnut legs. Upholstered in the original seafoam green silk velvet that remains rich in color and soft to the touch.

About the Design
Lawrence Peabody (1924–2002) studied at RISD and the Royal Danish Academy before creating Danish-inspired seating for Selig in the 1950s–60s. His Holiday lounge chair is a highly collectible example of American Mid-Century Modern design with strong Scandinavian influence. Sets with the original matching ottoman are less common than single chairs alone.
