Striking vintage ceramic table lamp featuring a lush Chinoiserie-inspired leopard and botanical motif against a glossy black ground. Two spotted leopards are surrounded by beautifully detailed green foliage, coral and blush flowers, berries and tropical leaves, creating a dramatic, richly layered design.
The substantial urn-form ceramic body is mounted on a warm-toned turned wood base with small feet and finished at the top with brass-tone hardware. The combination of black glazed ceramic, muted greens, warm coral and gold tones gives the lamp an especially sophisticated Hollywood Regency / traditional Chinoiserie presence.
The design wraps around the body, so the lamp is attractive from multiple angles. Raised and outlined details give the decoration additional texture and dimension.
Shown with a neutral linen-look shade, which complements the elaborate ceramic body beautifully.
