This pair of model 53 armchairs was manufactured by Ton in the 1950s to 1960s. They were designed by Jaroslav Smidek. The interior has been changed and covered with a blue colored fabric upholstery. The frame is in bent beech. The beech elements cleaned and painted in oak mordant and polished with a lacquer. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
