Mexican Folk Art Guerrero Nahua Figural Vase for your consideration. The vase measures approx. 8 inches tall and approx. 3 1/2 inches in diameter. Top and base diameter measures approx. 3 inches. Mexico, Guerrero, likely mid 20th Century. Nahua culture. Red and black slip unglazed pottery. Figural, face at the neck of the vase, bulbous body, covered in sun, floral and cartouche designed motifs. Very good vintage condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. Soiling, surface wear, small chipping to the base and a few tight firing-lines throughout, yet stable. Dark discoloration towards the bottom of the back of the vase as well. See photos. Displays intriguing!
