I bought these chairs as a set of four vintage Knoll Barcelona chairs with a matching coffee table (all are … Read more I bought these chairs as a set of four vintage Knoll Barcelona chairs with a matching coffee table (all are available; see my other listings) in 2000 from an insurance company in West Des Moines, Iowa, when they remodeled their offices, so the chairs have had only 2 owners: the insurance company and me. In our home, these beautiful chairs were mostly decorative and have rarely been used for the past 26 years. These chairs are stamped with K P 2 on the bottom of the front left corner of the seats. One of the chairs has a label sewn on to the seat cushion dated 1/16/70 (see photo).

The chair frames are stainless steel (not chrome) and the cushion leather is original. I had the foam inside replaced and the leather straps replaced for safety. All work was done by a well-known local restoration company. The back cushions are in very good condition with just a few scratches on the seams. The seat cushion are also in very good vintage condition with visible signs of wear on the front edges. One has more wear than the other. The chair frames have no dings, dents, or scratches.

When the straps were replaced, I did not think to save the Knoll label, but these chairs have been verified as authentic by two local furniture experts, including the MillerKnoll rep of Iowa, who came to my home for an in person authentication. Contact me for more photos or information.
