An exceptional vintage Murano Sommerso glass bowl, attributed to Alessandro Mandruzzato, Italy, circa 1970s. Spectacularly heavy and thick-walled bowl with rose-pink Sommerso core encased in crystal clear glass and finished with deep geometric diamond facets. The highly sculptural form, exceptional optical depth and impressive weight of 3.78kg make this an outstanding example of mid-century Italian art glass and a striking collector's item.
No visible signature or original label. Attributed to Alessandro Mandruzzato based on form, construction and comparison with documented examples.
