Tall white bisque porcelain vase from the ARCHAIS series, designed by Heinrich Fuchs for Lorenz Hutschenreuther in Germany during the 1960s–1970s.
The narrow rectangular form is covered with a deep geometric relief. Repeated lines and irregular blocks give the vase a strong architectural character, while the matte unglazed porcelain highlights the pattern through light and shadow.
Marked with the Hutschenreuther Germany stamp and inscribed “Fuchs” beneath the base.
Heinrich Fuchs was an important figure in postwar German porcelain design. His ARCHAIS series is known for combining simple forms with bold, Op Art-inspired surface structures. This piece has an attribution mark,
