BG Hinds was a legendary World War II combat field commander who led the 41st Armored Infantry Regiment within the elite 2nd Armored Division ("Hell on Wheels"). Hand-picked by General George S. Patton, Hinds fought gallantly through Operation Torch (North Africa), the Invasion of Sicily, Normandy, and the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded four Silver Stars for gallantry in action, the Distinguished Service Medal, and the Legion of Merit. He was also a 1924 Paris Olympic Gold Medalist in rifle shooting.

This oversized hardcover folio was produced by West Point during WWII as a tactical master study of Napoleon Bonaparte's combat movements, landscape strategies, and campaign history. It contains a complete array of multi-colored battle plates mapping troop deployments across major Napoleonic conflicts (including Italy, Austerlitz, and Waterloo).
Exterior Cover: Exhibits uniform age-related wear, surface staining, and fading across the grey cloth boards. Lettering remains legible.
Binding: Strong, completely secure, and textblock remains tight.
Internal Map Sheets: The interior maps remain physically intact and legible, bearing the authentic historic donor bookplate on the inner face.
