Antique brass-plated mechanical cash regsiter on a wooden base.
Serial No. 33299 (6/17/1891)
This piece, likely a "Michigan" model bears many of the embellishments NCR models were known for early on. Some of these details include the ornate "Dolphin" pattern, the orante crown across the top, and the "gilded" brass exterior. Each button corresponds to a different number or command, represented by small pop-up tags in the display window. While not tested, this piece appears to be complete with all numbers on the interior belts being legible.

Buttons are very worn and un-readable. Signs of light rust and flaking brass coating. Missing key. Drawer does open with buttons, but this piece does not function as a cash register anymore. The glass protecting the numbers at the top of the register is also missing on both sides. A piece of plexiglass was placed on one side at some point in the registers life, though the glass would not be difficult to replace. less
