Each piece … Read more Four-piece porcelain set designed by dorothy hafner for rosenthal studio-line, comprising two vases and two matching triangular candleholders. Each piece features hafner’s “flash” pattern, combining black geometric lines and vivid colour blocks on an ivory ground.

designed in 1982 and introduced by rosenthal in 1984, “flash” became one of the manufacturer’s defining postmodern series. Its energetic geometry reflects the visual language of 1980s design. Examples of the series are held in the collections of the cooper hewitt, smithsonian design museum and the national gallery of victoria.

the four pieces can be displayed together as a coordinated arrangement or used separately.
