Teak bedside table with two drawers. Scandinavian production, 1960s.
Scandinavian bedside table produced in the 1960s. The character of this piece is based on the quality of the workmanship rather than the use of decorative elements. The top with a raised edge, the turned wooden handles recessed into the fronts, and the slender base define a restrained ensemble, in which the quality of the workmanship becomes an integral part of the form. The drawers, assembled with exposed dovetail joints, demonstrate meticulous construction, a recurring feature of Scandinavian production of the period.
Good condition. May show signs of aging. Please refer to the photographs carefully.
