Boxes of this type were made in Damascus, where craftsmen have practiced the art of fine marquetry for centuries, building up intricate star and diamond patterns from tiny pieces of walnut, lemonwood, rosewood, bone and mother-of-pearl. This is the smaller of two boxes we are offering; perfect for rings, cufflinks or small keepsakes. Measures 4" x 5". See less
