A striking vintage metal sculpture composed of hundreds of slender welded rods rising and falling around a dense central core. The elongated form feels simultaneously architectural and organic — recalling a city skyline, radio frequencies, reeds, or an abstract burst of energy frozen in metal. Individual rods extend at irregular heights while rounded welds punctuate the surface, giving the piece an extraordinary amount of texture and visual rhythm. Its construction is deliberately exposed. Welds, joins and variations in the metal are not concealed but become part of the sculpture itself, giving it the raw, expressive character associated with brutalist and mid-century metalwork. Despite the density of its construction, the sculpture retains a remarkable lightness. Open spaces between the rods allow its surroundings to remain visible, while changing viewpoints continually alter the silhouette. Light catches the polished metal differently throughout the day, moving between bright silver reflections and deep graphite shadows. Mounted vertically, the narrow proportions give the piece a commanding presence without requiring a large footprint — equally suited to a pedestal, console or architectural niche. See less
