This is a beautiful vintage Chinese Huali (Rosewood) box, featuring a classic slide-lid design and impeccable traditional craftsmanship (evident in the fine dovetail joints on the sides).
The lid is decorated with exquisite Mother-of-Pearl (MOP) inlay, depicting the auspicious motif of "Dragon and Phoenix Bringing Prosperity". A vibrant green dragon and a golden phoenix face each other across a central flaming pearl, symbolizing perfect harmony, marital bliss, and good fortune.
