This is a beautiful vintage Chinese Huali (Rosewood) box, featuring exquisite Mother-of-Pearl (MOP) inlay on its lid.
The lid is decorated with a vibrant, handcrafted scene of a blooming peony branch (symbolizing wealth and honor) with a colorful bird perched upon it, accompanied by two delicate butterflies fluttering around (symbolizing joy and love). The iridescent inlay in shades of green, pink, gold, and white stands out beautifully against the warm, reddish-brown grain of the rosewood.
