Antique color print after French maritime painter Georges Philibert Charles Maroniez (1865–1933), depicting a bustling fishing harbor at twilight with fishermen, boats, and striking red-orange sails reflected in the water. The artist’s reproduced signature, G. Maroniez, appears at lower right.
Presented under glass in a wonderful period gilt frame with rope-twist detailing and contrasting inset accents. The warm, atmospheric palette and dramatic sails make this an especially decorative example of Maroniez’s celebrated maritime imagery.
