A beautiful round Scandinavian ceramic bowl in the Mid-Century Modern style, with a brown base glaze and a blue and white speckled glaze around the rim, dating from the 1960s. Designed by the renowned Danish ceramic artist Arne Ranslet.
Arne Mathias Ranslet (1931–2018) was a Danish ceramicist and sculptor.
After studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, he moved to Bornholm, where he initially worked with ceramics. His early works combined traditional and modern elements, and he quickly gained recognition at international exhibitions, including Cannes and Faenza, where he won gold and silver medals.
His works are represented in museums throughout Europe, including the National Museum in Stockholm, the Malmö Museum, and the Museum of Art and Design in Oslo.
Condition: Very good original condition, with age-related wear.
The bowl is signed on the bottom. This piece has an attribution mark,
I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity
