Its turned solid wood base forms a slender, slightly flared line, resting on a circular base. The warm tones of the wood contrast with the generous lampshade, crafted entirely from ecru rope.

Mounted on a metal frame, the lampshade features remarkable macramé-style knotting, finished with a loose fringe all around. Likely handcrafted, it is particularly representative of this period when natural fibers, wood, and manual skill were making their way into interiors.

When switched off, the lamp plays with textures and volumes. When switched on, it transforms completely: the light passes through the weave and projects a spectacular, shifting, and graphic lacework of shadows onto the walls. It is undoubtedly at this stage that it is most beautiful.

A charming and unusual detail: the lamp is switched on directly on the socket using a white paddle switch, a feature that has become rare today and further enhances its vintage character.

It is in very good condition with a few discreet signs of wear.
