The rectangular … Read more An exceptionally decorative vintage French Limoges porcelain tray featuring hand-painted polychrome floral decoration and elaborate gilt-metal floral mounts.

The rectangular porcelain body is centered by a lush bouquet of roses and assorted garden flowers, complemented by scattered floral sprays and turquoise-blue and gilt Rococo-inspired ornamentation. An ornate gilt-metal border surrounds the porcelain and terminates in beautifully modeled floral handles at either end.

The underside retains its Limoges label and handwritten French inscription “Peint à la main,” indicating hand-painted decoration. The porcelain is additionally impressed with production/form number 246529.

A striking decorative piece equally suited to a traditional vanity, dressing table, perfume collection, coffee table or layered tabletop display.
