Set of four authentic Jamaica bar stools, designed by Pepe Cortés and manufactured by Amat in Spain. Each stool is stamped on the underside of the seat: "JAMAICA STOOL / DESIGN BY PEPE CORTES / FOR AMAT / MADE IN SPAIN," along with the Amat maker's mark. Photos of the stamp included.
The Jamaica has been in continuous production since the early 1990s and is one of the best-known pieces of modern Spanish design — a sculpted, polished cast-aluminum saddle seat on a slender chromed steel frame with a full ring footrest. The seat swivels 360° and is genuinely comfortable, which is not something you can say about most metal stools.

The chrome footrest rings have spotting and some rust at the weld joints on all four, again photographed. Frames are solid and stable, swivels turn smoothly, no wobbles, no bends, no repairs. These are a well-used set of a design classic. less
