Gorgeous vintage 3-piece bedroom ensemble made in France by Richelieu / Art et Meubles de France in the historic town of Richelieu. This is not a reproduction “French Provincial-style”, rather these pieces were crafted in the traditional French style and bear the original maker’s stamp. The set includes a large dresser / chest that pulls out into a desk and two matching bedside tables / nightstands.
The warm wood finish, graceful curved fronts, carved details and classic French hardware give this set an elegant, timeless European look. A distinctive feature of the suite is the integrated pull-out writing surface. The main chest and each of the two matching bedside tables feature a concealed writing slide that pulls out to provide a generous additional work or dressing surface—a wonderful example of the thoughtful functionality found in traditional French furniture. All three pieces are in pristine vintage condition and look beautiful together.
