A large signed and numbered serigraph by American artist William Buffett, titled Houses by the Sea. This serene coastal composition depicts a cluster of seaside houses in Buffett’s distinctive simplified architectural style and soft palette of blue, gray, cream, muted rose and pale yellow.
Pencil titled “Houses by the Sea,” numbered 35/375, and signed Buffett along the lower margin.
Presented under glass with layered blue-gray matting in a substantial rounded blond wood frame. The generous 34-inch width gives the piece excellent decorative presence while its quiet coastal palette makes it particularly suited to Hamptons, Nantucket, Palm Beach and contemporary coastal interiors.
