The elongated field is covered from end to end with carefully arranged rows of small boteh forms, creating a highly rhythmic and balanced allover pattern particularly well suited to the long proportions of the runner.

The boteh motifs are rendered primarily in dark navy blue, indigo, brown, and subtle ivory accents against a beautifully aged coral-red to brick-red field. Small light-colored details placed between the botehs provide additional definition and prevent the dense repeating design from appearing overly heavy. The regular repetition creates a sense of movement while retaining the restrained, orderly character associated with traditional Saraband weaving.

Surrounding the field is a sophisticated system of multiple borders. The principal border has an ivory and warm cream ground decorated with repeating stylized floral and vine forms in navy, red, brown, and muted tones.
