This beautifully crafted large rectangular box features a rich, dark reddish-brown wood grain (described as old-stock Small-Leaf Red Sandalwood / Rosewood style) and is heavily decorated with intricate mother-of-pearl (shell) inlay. The craftsmanship is highly detailed, showcasing traditional Chinese motifs:
The Top: Features a central scene of a graceful Lady in flowing traditional attire, holding a fan, surrounded by delicate floral branches, butterflies, and a bird. The shell inlay reflects light with subtle iridescent colors, creating a stunning contrast against the dark wood.
