This substantial hand-blown glass centerpiece features a beautiful translucent pink interior with swirling copper-aventurine-like metallic inclusions, framed by clear glass and dramatic opaque white rolled and folded ends. The organically scalloped rim and four substantial clear-glass feet give the piece an unusually sculptural presence.

The combination of pink, white and metallic aventurine, along with the elongated freeform silhouette, is characteristic of mid-century Venetian/Murano art glass. The piece is attributed to the Fratelli Toso tradition, although it does not retain a maker’s label or signature, so the attribution is offered as such.

A particularly impressive statement piece for a dining table, console, credenza or coffee table. It would also make an exceptional centerpiece displayed empty as a sculptural work of art.
