A very fine example of a three-tiered antique English burl walnut music stand, with Canterbury base, circa 1860. Also called a music stand or étagère, this multifunctional piece has a place in any home. In a modern home, imagine this piece as a bar cart or bathroom organizer, the options are limitless!
The Canterbury base has turned bamboo spindles for sheet music or magazines above a single drawer with turned knobs, all standing on original brass casters. Finished on all sides. Intricately detailed, pierced carvings are found throughout the entirety of this lovely piece. A carved top rail lines the primary shelf where beautiful burl patterns grace the surface.
In excellent condition with rich patina and stunning coloring.
