Substantial vintage cast brass sculpture depicting Budai, the jovial monk popularly known as the Laughing Buddha. Beautifully modeled with an expressive smiling face, rounded belly, and deeply defined flowing robes.
The warm brass surface displays naturally occurring variations in tone and patina, giving the sculpture wonderful character and depth. At approximately 12 inches tall and weighing nearly 11 pounds, this is an unusually substantial decorative piece with impressive presence.
