Authentic Poltrona Frau “Quadra” modular sectional, designed by Studio Cerri & Associati in 2001 and handcrafted in Italy.
The Quadra is one of Poltrona Frau’s distinctive early-2000s contemporary designs, built around a series of repeating square modules that can be combined to create different seating configurations. Its architectural geometry is contrasted beautifully by the softness of Poltrona Frau’s exceptional leather upholstery.
This example is particularly striking in yellow Pelle Frau leather and features the Quadra’s elegant silver-finished metal support, which creates the appearance that the substantial leather seating is almost floating above the floor.
The complete ensemble includes:
• Two-piece Quadra sectional
• Matching leather Quadra ottoman/pouf
• Pair of coordinating leather-topped nesting tables
• Original silver-finished metal supports
Overall sectional dimensions are approximately 113”W × 35”D × 27.5”H.
Designed by Studio Cerri & Associati for Poltrona Frau, Italy, circa early 2000s.
The sofa has been enjoyed and shows age-appropriate signs of use, including surface scratches and natural patina to the leather. Please review the photographs for condition. It remains an exceptionally comfortable, substantial and visually striking piece.
The unusual yellow leather, low architectural profile and silver-finished base make this a statement piece particularly well suited to a contemporary, modern or eclectic interior.
