A beautiful rectangular Chinese hardwood storage chest, expertly decorated with **mother-of-pearl shell inlay** featuring the classic auspicious Dragon and Phoenix (龙凤呈祥) design.
The top surface showcases a large inlaid scene: a soaring phoenix paired with a powerful dragon floating among cloud motifs and a flaming pearl, symbols of harmony, marital bliss, prosperity and good fortune. The front face also features smaller matching dragon and phoenix shell inlay.
Fitted with a classic round antique brass lock plate and latch, the box sits on four short shaped feet, elevating it from surfaces. Inside offers storage space for jewelry, trinkets, letters, stamps, tea accessories, small collectibles and keepsakes.
