Bright cut chased pattern on blade and tines, hand chased "Dragon" motif on handles. Both bear legible hallmarks denoting pure silver (Jungin). No artist hallmark. The absence of any export stamps (like Japan), or secondary numeric stamps (such as .950 or .925) suggests this set dates back to the mid-to-late Meiji Period (specifically between the 1889's and 1912). This indicates the work of a master Meiji era silversmith, perhaps Konoike Workshop or Musashiya. Knife is 12 1/2" long and fork is 9 1/2" long. Set weighs 345 grams. See less
