Made in the 1930s-1940s by Cristalleries et Verreries de Vianne in Lot-et-Garonne, France. Since opening in 1928, the Bordeaux factory became globally famous for high-quality, handcrafted art glass and well-designed lighting fixtures. The company closed in 2005 and remaining pieces are highly collectable.
An Art Deco stepped and weighted brass base supports a mouth-blown glass shade. The classic Banker’s/Student’s shape is cased-glass with a pink candy stripe pattern. The colors include champagne, rose, and berry, and vary in translucency. The shade has an elegant frosted finish. This is an uncommon departure from typical solid color emerald green glass shades. The original factory sticker is intact on the left side.
Approx 16” tall with an 8’ cord.
