Outta-this-world! Large postmodern abstract acrylic painting that has an alien vibe…or maybe it’s botanicals…or maybe it’s alien botanicals! It is fabulous any way you look at it. The color combo is striking with a mix of pink, deep red, aqua blue, minty green and yellow. Acquired from the estate of Atlanta based artist Sondra McLinn who is best known for her unusual ceramics. She did a series of these funky paintings though this one is unsigned. The canvas is stretched to a wooden frame and has wire for hanging in a vertical or horizontal direction…I like it hung horizontally.
Good condition with one smudge mark to the surface as shown in photograph 10. The wire is not really taunt enough and might best be replaced so it does not show at the top when hanging.
Measures 36” tall x 48” wide x 2.25” deep.
