These are iconic … Read more A pair of vintage Italian wall lamps (sconces) from the 1970s, crafted from acrylic glass and Perspex. These are iconic pieces of Italian Modern design, characterized by an elongated, shield-like geometric line. The structure is composed of a transparent cobalt blue Perspex backplate and a curved, matte white acrylic diffuser, secured with small black geometric elements. The white central panel shields the bulb, providing soft, diffused ambient light, while the blue border creates a striking, transparent, colored effect on the wall. The wall brackets are made of black enameled brass.
These pieces are considered elements of mid-century Italian modern design.
The original vintage wiring is visible.
The only noteworthy detail is that the internal white part, overheated over time by the heat of the bulb, has created a yellowish halo and a deformation, all of which is highlighted in the photo. Otherwise, all of its original components are in perfect working order.
