this striking pair combines two contrasting versions of the celebrated design: one in glossy red plastic with black spots and the other in green with white details.

the rounded plastic bodies reproduce the form of a ladybug through an ingenious functional construction. Two independently movable wings open around the central hinge to reveal a white illuminated diffuser, allowing the appearance and light effect of each lamp to change according to the position of the wings.

lucinelle is characteristic of the experimental approach to plastics that defined much french and european space age design of the period, combining bold color, organic form and humour with practical functionality.

the lamps can be mounted on the wall or used as sculptural tabletop lights.

excellent vintage condition with minor signs of age.
