The cylindrical body is worked throughout with a pronounced basketweave texture, its interlaced strands picked out by the depth and variation of the vibrant green enamel glaze. A raised tied-bow motif encircles the center, introducing a softer textile reference against the woven surface, while the upper lip is modeled to resemble finely braided rope. Together, these details give the planter a decorative and whimsical character while retaining the strong sculptural quality associated with majolica ceramics. The monochrome green glaze settles into the recesses of the relief, emphasizing the modeled basketry and creating darker tonal definition across the surface.
