The … Read more This oak coffee table is executed in the manner of Henning Kjærnulf, likely produced in Denmark during the 1960s.

The rectangular top is set with two rows of glazed ceramic tiles, each hand-decorated with a leaf and berry motif in warm brown tones against a stippled cream ground, framed by solid oak planking.

The apron is cut with a repeating scalloped edge set with turned oak roundels, a detail carried through to the lower stretcher as well.

The table stands on four heavy, block-and-baluster turned legs, joined near the floor by a cross-braced stretcher with the same scalloped and roundel detailing.

The oak has a light honey tone with a straight, open grain, and the turning and carving are crisp and consistent throughout.
